Instructor Bio & Goals: I am a Retired L.E.O., (Law Enforcement Officer) with more than 30 years of honorable service to the Buena Park Police Department, Brea Police Department as well as the City of Yorba Linda, and citizens throughout California. My experience extends to virtually every aspect of the law enforcement profession. 

In addition to police patrol duties, I served as a Police Department Firearms & Tactical Instructor and Range Master tasked with training and qualifying thousands of police officers annually, (men & women). In addition, I held the position of Police Academy, Senior Tactical Officer, and Police Academy Instructor involved in the training of thousands of police officer recruits, (men & women). Since retirement, I have continued my involvement in teaching both  men and women interested in securing their safety as well as safeguarding their family, friends, and home protection.

Self-Defense tactics are presented from my own experiences in the Use of Deadly Force and developed from an extensive and varied background in teaching the art & science of firearm tactics; gun safety, situational awareness, defensive shooting, self-defense, CQC (close-quarters combat) tactical concepts, shoot don't shoot, the color code of awareness, actual hands-on “street survival” with real urban combat with strategic & defensive skills. I take personal satisfaction in sharing my tactical know-how and experience with good people in need of helpful training in firearms safety, defensive shooting, marksmanship skills, and self-defense.

Cancellation Policy

TRAINING DEPARTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY

 Public Classes:

Event Cancellation by Sponsor (5150 HEAT LLC)

5150 HEAT LLC – Firearms Training Academy (5150 HEAT LLC) reserves the right to cancel any Training event. In the event of cancellation by 5150 HEAT LLC, participants will have the option of being moved to the next scheduled event or receive a full refund of the registration fee. 5150 HEAT LLC is not responsible for any other expenses or possible damages incurred.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Please note the following:

• Cancellations will only be accepted in writing via our booking page link on the original confirmation email or via email to annie.5150.heat@gmail.com . Emailed cancellations will be confirmed when accepted.
• Cancellations must be received 5 business days before the training event to qualify for a refund.
• Cancellations received 5 Business days or more in advance of the scheduled training event will receive a full refund if requested.
• Cancellation of training event reservation less than 5 Business days before the scheduled training event and before the start of the training event will result in school credit or scheduling into a future training event.
• Students are eligible to reschedule to another class until the beginning of the training event they are scheduled to attend.
• Failure to attend the training event (no-show), without making prior arrangements with the training staff, will result in forfeiting the entire registration fee.
• We understand mitigating circumstances can affect attendance. Each circumstance will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

The above policies apply to all 5150 HEAT LLC, Training Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding training materials.

Private Training Session:

Event Cancellation by Sponsor (5150 HEAT LLC)

5150 HEAT LLC – Firearms Training Academy (5150 HEAT LLC) reserves the right to cancel any Private Training Session. In the event of cancellation by 5150 HEAT LLC, participants will have the option of being moved to the next available Private Training Session or receive a full refund of the registration fee. 5150 HEAT LLC is not responsible for any other expenses or possible damages incurred.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

• Students are eligible to reschedule into another private training session (date and time) until the beginning of the training session they are scheduled to attend.
