Court Ordered Firearms Safety Course
These courses will meet your obligation to complete a Court Ordered Firearms Safety Course.
These courses are essentially two nationally recognized firearms training courses – COMBINED!
Course #1: NRA Basic Pistol Course
Course #2: NRA Pistol Marksmanship Simulator Training.
Tuition: $200
The strengths of both exceptional courses when combined and taught in conjunction with the 30 years’ experience of a police academy instructor, police academy tactical officer, police department firearms instructor, SWAT team member, Hostage/Crisis Negotiator, Gang officer, Fugitive task force member, police patrol officer, use of deadly force survivor (now retired), UCLA Alumnus, Director of Church Security and Chief Firearms Instructor, 5150 HEAT LLC – Firearms Training Academy. Achievements such as these have been nothing short of extraordinary!
The NRA was founded in 1871 to advance rifle and pistol safety and marksmanship. Today, 154 years later the modern NRA has become a prominent organization while continuing to teach firearm safety and competency. We teach the NRA Basic Pistol Course.
The NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE is designed for both the beginner and experienced shooter. This course teaches the fundamentals of shooting. You will learn the NRA’s gun safety rules, the different pistol parts and how they operate, fundamentals of shooting (gun safety, stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, recoil recovery, proper gun storage and dominant eye). Students will receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (e-textbook), and after passing a written and practical test. At the successful completion of the course, students will be issued a nationally recognized training certificate that can present to the court as evidence of accomplishment. This course will include everything EXCEPT Live-Fire and of course handling actual firearms or actual live-fire at a gun range.
The NRA PISTOL MARKSMANSHIP SIMULATOR TRAINING COURSE teaches the Universal Gun SAFETY RULES (plus, a few more), the firearm fundamentals such as, (correct stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, recoil recovery, proper gun storage and dominant eye). Students will use ULTRA SAFE, STATE-OF-THE-ART simulated Laser Pistols manufactured by Next Level Training SIRT - Laser Pistols combined with LASR/LaserX Electronic Target systems in our very comfortable stress-free, safe and sound classroom. At the successful completion of the course, students will be issued a nationally recognized training certificate that can present to the court as evidence of accomplishment. This course will include everything EXCEPT Live-Fire and of course handling actual firearms or actual live-fire at a gun range.

Documentation Requirements
Attendees MUST bring Court Documents showing the order. Examples of documents to bring include:
1) Correspondence between you and your attorney mandating the training
2) Court documents showing arrest details, such as, specifically, what you were arrested for.
FAILURE TO BRING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MAY RESULT IN DELAY OF CERTIFICATE.
Registration and Cancellation
A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE registration deposit must be made online. Cancellation or re-scheduling of your registration requires a 48-hour notice and can be done by calling or emailing our office at Annie.5150.heat@gmail.com. Emails are time/date stamped and must be received 48 hours prior to start time to be eligible for a refund. Failure to cancel or reschedule your registration within that 48-hour period, will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
