About 1791 Training

Deron Boring, J.D. is an instructor with 30 years of experience teaching adults and extensive background in leadership training, instructor development, and the law.  He serves as an adjunct professor at two universities teaching undergraduate and graduate level law and government courses. He also has 14 years of experience teaching firearms law, self-defense law, firearm safety, home safety, and CCW classes.

Classes & Presentations:

We primarily offer customized courses presented by a licensed attorney on Ohio CCW law, Ohio Firearms Law, and Ohio Deadly Force/Self-Defense Law.

We also offer legal presentations to local clubs, small groups including churches, realtors' associations, or private classes for your family and friends.

Any course can be customized to fit your small group or individual needs, including single day courses, evening courses, or courses split into units at your request. All CCW courses will exceed the classroom and range requirements under Ohio law.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least seven (7) days prior for a refund minus credit card processing fee of $6.50.  All cancelations within 7 days will result in a credit for a future class.

The only way we can know that a class is full is when students register and pay their fees.

Once a class is full, we have to turn away other students who would like to attend. If you cancel at the last minute, or fail to show up, you potentially keep other students from attending and cost us a student.

Please be sure you can attend a class before registering.  To secure a slot in a course full payment is required unless otherwise specified.

Reschedule Policy

In the event that the instructor needs to reschedule the class, all course fees will be refunded within 14 days.
