Description
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This class consists of 4 hours of classroom instruction only. There is NO range time or “live-fire" component required to apply for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP). This is a Utah BCI-approved firearms familiarity class that satisfies the training requirements to apply for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP). This class is for residents and non-residents of Utah who wish to apply for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP). You do not have to reside in the state of Utah to apply for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP). Any U.S. citizen or legal resident (with the intent to reside in the United States) may obtain a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit (CFP), providing they meet the minimum qualifications. Documentation Requirements
Students must bring a valid driver's license or state issued ID to class with them for verification.
·Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire duration of class.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.
Requirements
- Concealed carry permitsTo apply for a concealed carry permit in Utah, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least 21 years old for a standard permit, or at least 18 years old for a provisional permit
- Have good character
- Pass a criminal background check
- Be qualified to purchase and possess a firearm under Utah and federal law
- Not have been convicted of a felony, crime of violence, offense involving alcohol, offense involving narcotics or other controlled substances, offense involving moral turpitude, or offense involving domestic violence
- Not have been adjudicated by a state or federal court as mentally incompetent
- Submit the following:
- A photocopy of your state-issued driver's license
- A recent color photograph
- Non-resident proof of permit
- A fingerprint card
- Weapon familiarity certification
