Women's "Try Before You Buy" Pistol Basics

Description

New to shooting and not sure if you want to buy? In this private class you'll shoot a variety of handguns suitable for sport, self-defense and CCW, including 9mm with both optics and irons in subcomact and compact, .22 caliber and revolver. No gun, gear or ammo needed. You'll be introduced to safety, gun handling and pistol shooting fundamentals. You’ll come away with a realistic view of shooting based on practical experience.

Topics Covered

• Range safety brief and review of gun safety rules. Demonstration and practice of basic gun handling skills including loading and unloading a handgun.

• Demonstration and application of core shooting fundamentals including stance, grip, aiming with both irons and optics, and trigger press.

• Live fire with a variety of handgun platforms used for sport, self-defense and CCW, including 9mm, .22 and .38 caliber in subcompact and compact.

Expectations and Outcomes

You'll come away with a much more realistic expectation about the skill needed to shoot a gun with confidence and competence. You'll get practical, hands-on experience to help make a more informed buying decision.

Documentation Requirements

Valid state driver's license or state photo ID is required.

You'll be required to sign two waivers the morning of class.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

No gun or gear is needed. A seletion of handguns and ammunition will be provided. Eye and electronic ear protection will be provided. You may want to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
