Description
The Veretie Ladies Pistol Cub meets quarterly for a 6-hour skill building pistol workshop that incorporates competition style stages to test your on demand skills. Geared toward women with experience working from the holster. Drills will target critical skills, incorporating more challenging concepts to hone grip, vision, movement and speed. You'll perform practical work that will enhance your performance.
What's covered:- For more experienced women, this is a 6-hour skill builder for ladies who want to challenge themselves with more difficult COFs.
- You'll workshop key skills for self-defense. The focus is on helping students achieve consistent, acceptable accuracy at 5 to 15 yds, with urgency.
- You’ll run a cold drill to assess skill and diagnose areas for improvement. You’ll set realistic, achievable, and measurable goals for the session.
- All drills are run from concealment on a timer. You’ll work draw stroke, grip structure and pressure, indexing on target, movement and transitions.
Topics Covered
You’ll get lots of trigger time working drills that are relevant to skill development. You’ll put in the practical work that drives real performance improvement, confidence, competency and consistency. Small group classes ensure you’re able to set clearly defined, measurable goals, receive personalized 1:1 coaching, and gain insights that will inform your practice. Classes focus on:
Proper firearm safety
Efficient gun handling, including draw stroke
Fundamentals based on the most current methods
More aggressive practical and defensive techniques
Shooting on the move
Target transitions
Use of time constraints
Types
Intermediate, Concealed Carry Training, Women's Only Courses
Documentation Requirements
Valid state driver's license or state photo ID is required.
You'll be required to sign two waivers the morning of class.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
- You must have your own semi-auto pistol to attend class. This class is NOT for beginners. You must have an understanding of the basics.
- You must have a holster, either AIWIB or OWB — preferably Kydex molded to the specific make and model of your gun and a proper gun belt to support your holster.
- You'll need ear and eye protection.
- You will need 500 rounds of ammunition. Contact me if you would like recommendations for where you can purchase ammunition at the lowest cost.
- Bring a speed loader (I recommend Uplula).
- Bring a baseball cap and sun screen.
- Bring plenty of water and some snacks. Bring lunch. We take a short 15 minute break. I recommend eating light on the range.
