Description
This is a basic introduction to firearms, designed to familiarize the student with firearms, range safety, pistol functions, handling, storage, care, and shooting.

- Safe storage of both pistols and ammunition
- Loading and Unloading

Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of this course the student will be able to:
- know and understand firearm and range safety.
- Identify the different types of pistols and their functions
- Identify the various types of ammunition
- Know how to properly and safely store both pistols and ammunition.
- Safely load and unload a pistol.
- Properly clean and maintain a pistol.
- Demonstrate proper shooting fundamentals (grip, sighting, Trigger press)

Documentation Requirements
Please provide the instructor with the caliber of pistol you will be bringing to the class.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Items required for training:
- Properly maintained pistol (ref. below)
- Magazines (minimum of 2)
- Proper factory ammunition for your caliber pistol.
- Ear and Eye protection (over the ear protection is recommended)
- Holster and belt (IWB or OWB)
- 50 rounds of factory ammunition.
- Snack and WATER.
- Weather appropriate clothing.
