Description
This course will begin in a classroom setting. In the classroom students will be introduced to concepts including the universal safety rules, stance, manipulation, grip, and other concepts necessary to safe firearm use. Once on the range students will be provided with technical instruction and safe supervision in order to achieve a basic understanding of handgun use.

Safety, handling, manipulation, proper shooting technique.
Expectations and Outcomes
Students will leave being able to safely handle a firearm. Students will also leave with a basic understanding of shooting on a firing range. Certificates of completion will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

Requirements
Students should bring their own firearm and 50 rounds of ammunition. Firearms must be brought unloaded in a hard case. Students will also be required to bring eye and ear protection. No open toed shoes on the range.
