Shane Higgins, founder and lead instructor of The Nox Group, began his law enforcement career with one of California's most prestigious departments at the age of 22. Shane served as a police officer for 11 years serving in numerous positions including traffic officer, patrol supervisor, dignitary protection, auto and gang task force, and training before separating and venturing out into the private sector of self-defense and training. Shane was a California POST certified instructor for law enforcement officers for five years in handcuffing, baton, ASP, O.C. spray, and hand-to-hand combat. Shane also holds certificates from the NRA as a Range Safety Officer and Basic Rifle and Pistol Instructor, Refuse to be a Victim, and Firearms Simulator Instructor.
We specialize in firearms safety and instruction with the help of a firearms simulator, as well as defensive tactics ranging from hand to hand combat, baton, ASP, OC spray, Taser, and handcuffing techniques.
