About The Little Gunner Boy, LLC
Jacob is a lifetime musician and a three time Iraq veteran. He joined the Navy after September 11, 2001, and his first day in the Navy was January 10, 2002, the day before his 24th birthday.
After A-school in Great Lakes, IL he went to El Paso, Texas for stinger operator school, and then to his first command at Navy Special Boat Squadron 2 aboard the USS Tornado (PC-14) at Little Creek, Virginia. A year later his command was transferred to Second and Fifth Fleets and that is where he stayed for two deployments in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
For his third deployment he volunteered to transfer to the USS Nashville (LPD-13) and was instrumental in the rescue of US citizens during the Lebanon/Israel conflict. Over 2700 US citizens were shuttled from Lebanon to Cyprus. After that, he transferred to sunny Buffalo, New York for his shore duty. Upon separation from government service, Jacob went back to school to obtain his college degree as he made a promise to his father that he would do so. Semper For.
In 2014 he was found to have a brain tumor, a oligodendroglioma to be precise. During the biopsy, the doctor nicked a blood vessel which caused a brain bleed which caused Jacob to have a stroke, losing all sensation and motor skills on the right side of his body. Now, after many years of perseverance and getting shit done, is able to get back into shooting using his Navy shooting qualifications in order to help fellow shooters.
