About Texas Defense & Firearm Training, LLC.
Ted Jagen started his instruction in firearm while in the US Navy. He was a certified Navy Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor and responsible for the small arms training for Nuclear Weapons Security Forces. He also was responsible for the training of Nuclear Weapons Reactional Forces onboard Submarines and Submarine support vessels. He trained on .38 revolver, 9mm, 45.ACP, 12ga Shotgun, M-14 Rifle, M-16 Rifle, 50cal Machinegun, and 20mm Machinegun.
Ted Jagen began his civilian instruction for students in 2020. He has instructed over 800 students in the use of handguns, shotguns and rifles. As a USCCA Instructor and Training Counselor, he has provided defense and firearm training at all levels, never touched one to advanced. His ability to train anyone, men and women, has been noted in the firearm community. He specializes in new shooters, both men and women. He also specializes in active shooter, trauma first aid fundamentals, situational awareness and human trafficking awareness, and defensive shooting fundamentals.
Ted Jagen is a caring and patient instructor, he believes each person's defense journey is their own and he is here to assist you in that journey. He has worked with many different types of students, from new and never handled a firearm, to those who were truamatised and wanted to get their power back. He also believes if you own a firearm, you need to take trauma and first aid courses. Ted instructs the why, not just the how in firearms. You will gain much knowledge and become confident in your defensive journey.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
Must cancel within 48 hours of course to receive refund. If after the 48 hours, then you can reschedule for the next available course.
Reschedule Policy
You can reschedule a course at any time. After the 2nd reschedule, it will be up to you to let me know when you want to attend the next course. There is no refund after a reschedule.
Refund Policy
If requesting a refund, it must before 48 hours of the course. Refunds take 3-5 days to process and there is a 8% charge to the refund to cover bank charges.
