Description
The Initial Entry Shooter Program is designed specifically for ladies who are new or have limited experience in handling firearms for self-defense and protection purposes.
This hands-on program guides you through exercises that develop the physical and mental shooting skills necessary to safely and efficiently handle a firearm. The exercises and instruction in this course are adapted to everyone’s needs and abilities.
A distinctive feature of this course is the discharge of a firearm can be a difficult, anxiety producing experience. We will go through a desensitization drill to mitigate mental anxiety, loud noise firearm discharge, concussion and recoil.
Topics Covered
The exercises in this course build on a solid foundation of safe and smooth firearm handling skills as noted in the Initial Entry Level Course Outline (PDF). We will go through a desensitization drill to mitigate mental anxiety, loud noise firearm discharge, concussion and recoil which are the biggest obstacles for new shooters.
Expectations and Outcomes
Course takes the student through the entire firearm manipulation process in dry fire mode (no ammo) to become familiar with and comfortable in all stages of handling a firearm and then in live fire (with ammo). By the end of the course the students will acquire proficiency and confidence in handling their firearm safely and accurately.
