What is Strategic Firearm Training, LLC

• Definition of Strategic: "relating to the identification of long-term or overall aims and interests and the means of achieving them."

Strategic Firearm Training is dedicated to educating and training in the safe and effective use of firearms and critical defensive thinking so that you will be able to defend yourself or your loved ones with confidence. Leveraging the most current knowledge on defensive accuracy, mental mindset, situational awareness, and efficient firearm handling we equip you with the ability to defend.

How it Began
My journey began many years ago and started when I was coming home from work late at night I had a discussion with Chicago police officer. We both were at a restaurant picking up carry-out when I made the comment about his vehicle having the words 'serve and protect'. That discussion concluded with him saying to me - "That is a general thing we say - it's up to you to protect yourself. Sure, I will show after the fact. Take a report and all that, of course that is assuming that you have survived the assault." We pasrted ways. As I was driving home, that's when I took personal responsibility for protecting my family and loved ones and not assuming, or trusting, that someone else is responsible for doing what was always my job to do. It was clear that having a position of hoping for the best, assuming someone elase will protect me, or being in denial as if I am somehow immune to violence, or my loved one, wasnot a realiistic or viable strategy.

Who am I
I've been shooting firearms for over 30 years. I am a U.S. Air Force veteran, a martial artist, a corporate IT Cybersecurity executive recently retired from a Fortune 100 company, a competitive shooter (IDPA/USPA), a Range Safety Officer, a SABRE Personal Safety Instructor (Non-lethal tactics and protection), and a Certified Firearm Instructor for both the National Rifleman Association (NRA) and the United Conceal Carry Association (USCCA). As such, I continue to enhance my knowledge and skills in self defense, shooting, legal use of force applications and dealing with the ramifications of what happens afterwards so I can bring that to my students.

What I enjoy most is helping people take responsibility for their personal security and give them the tools so they can do that effectively, with confidence and peace of mind. I offer private, small group, women only, and couples training because sometimes you want more focused attention, and/or have many questions, or just need someone to shoot with so you can improve.

I hold high standards for the quality of the training and the materials used. I’m looking forward to working with you to achieve your objectives.

Cancellation Policy

 
Note: Cancellations at the last minute can disruptive to the class preparation process and potentially could impact class learning outcomes. Please consider your schedule and probability of your attendance. Once you sign-up for a class processing fees occur. If signed up, please attend or cancel or reschedule as soon as possible
 
BEFORE 72 HOURS: Full Refund, minus $10 student processing fee, will be made when the cancellation happens less than 72 hours prior to the class date.

LESS THAN 72 HOURS: Cancellations less than 72 hours prior to a scheduled course will be refunded minus a $50 student processing fee.

NO SHOWS: No call or No shows will not get a refund.

When you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible. Please read Reschedule Policy.
 

Reschedule Policy

 
BEFORE 72 HOURS: No Fee for Rescheduling Prior to 72 hours before the class.

LESS THAN 72 HOURS: A $10 Fee for Reschedule Within 72 Hours of the Class.
 

Refund Policy

 
A Full Refund Minus Processing Fees Is The Policy.

Please review the cancellation and the reschedule policies to understand those fee charges.

We understand that things come up. We will always try accomodate a reasonable request.
 

Other Policy

 
GENERAL

• Classroom Only Training:  No live ammunition in classroom only training
• Secure Firearms:  All firearms should be in gun cases and secured, or always holstered.
• Compliance to Rules:  All students will adhere to the posted rules of gun Ranges and training facilities
• No Unapproved Fiream Handling: The Instructor will 'instruct' as to ALL firearm handling.

Waiver

   
NOTE: Signing up for a class assumes you have read and are in agreement with this Waiver

• All Students will be required to fill out a waiver with the basic outline as follows before any training

 

SUBJECT:  RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE

 

I wish to voluntarily engage in a firearms safety or maintenance class activity with, Strategic Firearm Training, LLC located at various facilities / hotels / ranges that will involve the use of live ammunition in the firing of firearms. I understand that engaging in these activities may be hazardous, with accompanying risks of personal injury, death, and or loss or damage to my property. In consideration of my participation in such activities, I, on my own behalf and that of my heirs, successors, representatives, administrators and assigns, and with promise of a non-instigated lawsuit hereby:

 

1.      Waive and completely release any and all, past, present or future claims, causes of action, suits, rights, damages, costs, expenses or obligations or demands of any kind whatsoever, I, or anyone on my behalf might have against Strategic Firearms Training LLC, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries or successor corporations and the owners of Strategic Firearms Training LLC and their respective officers, directors, servants, employees, agents, representatives and contractors (the "Released Parties"), for any loss, damage, personal injury, death and/or loss of damage to my property resulting from my participation in such shooting activities;

 

2.      Agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Strategic Firearms Training LLC, and the other Released Parties, from any and all claims by any person, firm, corporation or others, for any damages, loss or claims, of any nature, arising in any way out of my participation in such shooting activities; and

 

3.      Assume all risks associated with such activities and all responsibility for medical expenses, costs and/or other obligations and other losses or injuries to me or in which I may become involved, by reason of my participation in such firearms activities at the aforementioned address.

 

4.      I further certify that I am over 18 years of age and have read and understand this Waiver of Liability and have executed this instrument voluntarily on this date.

 

5.      Parents of children below the age of 18 years must print their children’s names at the bottom of this wavier and sign for them.

 

6.      I have read the facility gun and/or range Safety Rules and will abide by them in whole while attending the training.
