Safety comes first, last, and always.

As a child I was always taught that firearms are not toys, to always keep firearms pointed in a safe direction, never point at anything you don’t wish to destroy, keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire and treat every firearm as loaded, even if you think it is unloaded.

More people are killed every year by an “unloaded” firearm or complacency. You must always handle your firearm in a safe manner and by remembering these simple rules, you will keep yourself and others safe. Firearm safety is the reason why I became an instructor, I specialize in helping women eliminate their fear of firearms by teaching the importance of safety, handgun fundamentals, marksmanship and laws relevant to North Carolina.

Our classes will leave you with the confidence, power and knowledge to protect yourself and your love ones.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

If you can't make it to the class, as scheduled: we will reschedule you for another class date.

Reschedule Policy

Classes canceled or missed will be rescheduled to a new date.

Other Policy

If at any point the Instructor, Safety Officer or Range Personnel believes you are a risk to yourself, others or are hindering the learning environment, you may be asked to leave. If this happens, class fees will not be refunded and local law enforcement could be called, if needed.

Waiver

RELEASE, WAIVER, INDEMNIFICATION, HOLD HARMLESS, AND

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT

WHEREAS, in consideration of being permitted to attend a course for instruction in handguns, for the instruction in handguns, for use of premises, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, (hereinafter referred to as “Undersigned”), agree to the following: Undersigned agrees to indemnify, hold harmless Southern Alchemy Firearms Training (Maggie Wood/Owner) and its Instructors (hereinafter referred to as “Instructor”) and affiliates, from any and all fault, liabilities, costs, expenses, claims, demands, or lawsuits arising out of, related to or connected with Undersigned; Undersigned's presence on or use of the range, building, land, and premises ("Premises"); and, any and all acts or omission of Undersigned.

Undersigned furthermore waives for himself/herself and for his/her executors, personal representatives, administrators, assignees, heirs and any next of kin; any and all rights and claims for damages, losses, demands and any other actions or claims whatsoever, which he/she may have or which may arise against Instructor (including but not limited to the death of Undersigned and/or any and all injuries damages or illnesses suffered by Undersigned or Undersigned's property), which may, in any way whatsoever, arise out of, be related to or be connected with: the course of instruction; the Premises, including any latent defects in the Premises; Undersigned's presence on or use of said Premises; Undersign’s property (whether or not entrusted to Instructor); and the discharge of handguns. Instructor shall not be liable for, and Undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself and on behalf of his/her executors, personal representative administrators, assignees, heirs, and next of kin, hereby expressly releases the Instructor for any all such claims and liabilities.

Undersigned hereby expressly assumes the risk of taking part in the course for instruction on handguns and taking part in the activities on the Premises, which include, but are not limited to, instruction in the use of handguns, the discharge of handguns and the firing of live ammunition.

Undersigned furthermore hereby acknowledges and agrees that he/she has read, understands and will at all times abide by all range rules and procedures and any other rules and procedures stated by the Instructor.
