About Standard Operating Procedures Training (SOPT)
A little back story about me: I used to be afraid of firearms. In the spring of 2005, my step-dad bought a couple handguns and started taking my brother (his son) to the range every Sunday. For a few months, I always wondered why he would buy such a thing and take my brother to the range, who at that time was 12 years old. Then I thought “I’m 9 years older than my brother, why am I so fearful of an inanimate object and he’s not?” So I asked my step-dad if I could tag along one Sunday, as well to satisfy my curiosity. And so I did – the instant that the first bullet came out of that barrel, spiraling down range into a large pile of shredded tires, I was hooked! And I have been hooked ever since.
Now, I am one of the leaders for Armed Women of America Shooting Chapters, Sacramento and Roseville Chapters – helping to educate, empower, and equip other women in the use of firearms. It has become a passion of mine to help others overcome their fear of firearms and also help others improve their shooting. I have trained individuals from never handled a gun before to competitive shooters. My method of training consists of the EDGE (Educate, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable). I make sure that each student who takes my class takes at least one thing away and I hope that they continue to train and seek other training as well.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
Classes are scheduled and fees are collected as students enroll. Planning is a big part of a class and the instructor comes prepared to meet the needs of the students. Sometimes extra instructors are brought to the range to support training. Therefore, when someone doesn't come to a class, it changes the dynamics and structure. For this reason, the following policy is in place.
In order to receive a refund, minus a $30 cancellation fee, the notice must be provided, in writing, to soptraining.pb@gmail.com 72 hours prior to the start of the class.
If notice is given, in writing, 24-71 hours prior to the start of the class, a reschedule for a future class will be allowed.
No cancellation refund will be given if notice is received 23 hours or less before the start of the class. All fees are retained by the instructor.
Reschedule Policy
Given the cancellation policy, the reschedule policy will allow an option if you cannot attend a class.
A $20 reschedule fee will allow a student to reschedule for a class in the future. A reschedule for a class will be allowed one time. Rescheduling will be allowed for a seat in a future class; the next date may/may not be the class that will accommodate the change. All communication regarding rescheduling should be sent to soptraining.pb@gmail.com
Refund Policy
Based on the cancellation policy, refunds will be made payable to the individual who scheduled the class, only. Payment will be sent within five days following the date of the class.
Waiver
Hold harmless agreement is to be signed prior to the scheduled class. The waiver can be found at this link: https://form.jotform.com/220207617219147
