Description

We start you with our Defensive Pistol 101 Class and then you can move to our Intermediate and Advanced class or Private Instruction at any time.

Learning Defensive Pistol is not all about the Range or Live Fire. Did you know 80% of incidents happen within 9 feet? Did you know that even at 21 feet you don’t have enough time to Draw you firearm and get on target?

Do you know Weapon Retention? Cover vs Concealment? Moving while staying on target? Deploying while moving and how that is affected when an edged weapon is deployed? How about how to deal with problems in the middle of a fight? Going to a range with lanes ifs great. But learning how to properly use yourself and your weapon in a defensive incident is completely different. We are going to teach you a lot during this 6 hour session.

Topics Covered

We are going to cover:

  • How to maintain control of your weapon
  • When is the proper time to deploy
  • How much time do you really have?
  • How does your body react when pressure is applied?
  • Closing the gap and opening the gap
  • Drawing your weapon while under duress
  • Clear your holster and shoot
  • shooting positions from the ground, on your back, on your side, on your stomach
  • Shooting from behind cover, shooting while on the move.
  • These are all Real World, Real Life ways the fight will happen. You will not be standing at a counter and shooting at a static target letting you put hole through it.
