Description
This two day course puts it all together to help you move toward becoming a highly competent Operator with your primary (rifle) and secondary (pistol) weapon systems. This course is designed to push your physical and mental abilities as you fully develop your shooting, moving, weapons handling and critical tactical thinking skills. SIT (Stress Inoculation Training) plays a big part in this course and helps you to better understand the human stress response and how it affects you personally.
Performance-Based Training: Our methods and teachings may be a little different than what you have previously experienced. We use Performance-Based training combined with limited Standards-Based training. Obviously, we have high standards for our training programs but we don’t train for outcomes ie. ambiguous standards, we train for your forward progress. Our focus is to help you improve your personal performance (skillset) at whatever level you are at today so you can be better, faster and smarter tomorrow.

Expectations and Outcomes
The course goes well beyond advanced pistol and rifle skills, it pushes your hard skills, soft skills and your physical and mental abilities to their highest level. You will develop a deep understanding of behavior compliant techniques/tactics and the human stress response and how to use these to create a tactical advantage. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding course that fully utilizes SIT (Stress Inoculation Training) to put you and your abilities to the test. This course can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your unit or group.

Requirements
$25.00 range fee per day for Non 17 South Rod and Gun Club members. (Only for courses at 17 South)
Prerequisite - Fundamentals of Tactical Pistol and Rifle or equivalent
Just like our other courses, you must first empty your cup. Neither a full cup nor a big ego have room for more. Come prepared mentally and physically to work hard and learn new skills. You must also have the traditional marital arts humble spirit so you are ready to learn and move forward. This is an Advanced Combat Pistol and Rifle course so you will get dirty, sweaty and tired. (But it will be so worth it!)
Proof of previous pistol and rifle training. Our Fundamentals of Combat Pistol and Fundamentals of Combat Rifle or equivalent (Certified Law Enforcement Officer’s automatically qualify)
A quality rifle with iron sights or optic with a sling.
A quality semi-automatic pistol (iron sights or optic) with a tactical or duty holster.
At least 3 magazines for your rifle.
At least 3 magazines for your pistol with tactical or duty mag pouches.
Tactical or Duty belt
Full tactical kit (vest, plate carrier, helmet, etc.)
Minimum of 500 rounds of quality rifle range ammo.
Minimum of 500 rounds of quality pistol range ammo.
Weather appropriate attire that you don’t mind getting dirty. (Patrol uniforms may get ruined)
Hearing protection and Eye protection
Hydration - Water, Gatorade, etc.
Lunch/Snacks
Recommended Items - Electronic ear pro, Hat, Gloves, Sunscreen, bug repellant
