Topics Covered
You will gain an understanding of carrying procedures, legal issues, and the use of force. Topics consist of application requirements; Introduction and Review for Safe Firearms Handling Procedures; Pistol Parts & Operation; Ammunition knowledge and selection; Cleaning and Maintenance; Holster Selection; Maryland Firearms Laws; Use of Deadly Force; Mindset and Interaction with Law Enforcement.
Expectations and Outcomes
Students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive reference books, take a NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.
