About Personal Defense Firearm Training MS, LLC
Dr. Andy Anderson is a highly experienced firearms instructor and a distinguished Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Level I Trauma Center in Jackson, Mississippi, where he has dedicated 21 years to clinical emergency medicine. His dual expertise in medicine and tactical operations uniquely positions him as a leader in both fields.
Dr. Anderson serves as a Deputy with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, leveraging his prior experience as a Special Agent for the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Tactical Physician for the AMR Tactical Response Team. Before his medical career, he worked as an EMT and Paramedic with Metro Ambulance Service in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Over his extensive career, he has provided medical standby support for numerous law enforcement operations and has treated gunshot wounds for more than 30 years.
Dr. Anderson is a certified firearms instructor with credentials from the NRA, USCCA and Massad Ayoob Group. He has completed Rangemaster’s comprehensive suite of instructor development courses, including Basic, Advanced, Master, and Professional Pistolcraft, as well as Shotgun and Advanced Shotgun Instructor certifications.
As a member of the National Tactical Officers Association and the Mississippi Tactical Officers Association, Dr. Anderson combines his tactical expertise with his medical background to provide unparalleled instruction in firearms safety, proficiency, and emergency response. His passion for teaching empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills to handle firearms responsibly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
