PISTOL MOUNTED OPTIC SKILLS

Description

Red Dot Pistol Basics teaches you the basics of how to use a handgun with a red dot sight attached to it. My format for teaching will provide effective and efficient techniques for using a pistol equipned with a miniture reflex sight (red dot optic). Topics covered will be dot aquasition upon presentation, the draw, target focus shooting with a dot, self defense oriented grip and stance, single handed use.

Expectations and Outcomes

By the end of the course the student will understand the capabilities and limitations of a pistol mount optic equiped handgun. The student will understand proper presentation and how to correctly aim with a pistol mounted optic handgun.

Documentation Requirements

Please email me a copy of your state issued identification, ie drivers license, and if your state issues a firearms permit iof any tyoe please email that as well.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

Required Gear
- handgun with red dot optic
- holster; strong side or AIWB only. No cross draw, shoulder, ankle, small of back, or pocket carry allowed.
- 550 rounds of ammunition
- 4 magazines or speed loaders or more
- magazine holder
- eye protection
- ear protection - electronic is preferred.
- note taking material
- clothing for weather conditions and closed toe shoes
- Spare battery for optic
- Manual for optic
- Sight adjustment tool for optic
- water
- snacks / lunch
