Description
PISTOL SKILL BUILDER – 3 HOUR WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP
PALADIN CENTER / HUDSON VALLEY SHOOTING SPORTS

39 Seminary Hill Rd, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512
6:00pm to 9:00pm
Classes start at 6:00pm, students should arrive no later than 5:45pm for set up, safety and first aid briefing.
Prerequisites:
All students must be able to successfully maintain all shooting safety fundamentals. Students should know and be able to perform all aspects of safe firearm handing, loading, and unloading, malfunction clearing. You should have a clear understanding of how and why your gun works as it does.
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS!
THIS IS NOT A “FIRST TIME SHOOTING” OR WORKING FROM A HOLSTER CLASS!
All students must have ample experience working in and out of a holster from concealment. All students must know how to properly load/unload your pistol and clear all malfunctions.

This is a multifaceted class designed to introduce the intermediate or advanced shooter to the various aspects of efficient, effective and accurate pistol shooting fundamentals and foundational skills.
Intermediate and advanced shooters will benefit as we will help diagnose and correct any shooting errors or problem areas to help improve your shooting abilities.
This is also an opportunity to work on any areas that the shooter themselves would like to request.

– Shooting principals (holding, aiming, firing, timing) and how and why they apply to shooting.

Requirements
EQUIPMENT LIST:
-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol
-4 magazines minimum
-Minimum of 250 rounds of regular target ammunition.
-QUALITY CONCEALED kydex holster (IWB, OWB, AIWB or Duty Rig/Open Carry for LE —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA holsters.
We recommend holsters from Dark Star Gear, Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, 508 Holsters, Black Center Tactical, Concealment Express C&G Holsters & G-Code.

-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.
-Ammunition dump pouch (optional)
-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide. No loose belts or saggy pants. No sweatpants.
-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Earmuffs and earplugs
-A black Sharpie marker
-Notebook and pen for note taking
-Humble willing to learn attitude
