Description
NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
Successful completion of this class meets the training requirements for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License – a NRA certificate will be issued. The instructor is a retired NYPD Officer, NRA Law Enforcement Pistol Instructor & Civilian Pistol Instructor
Expectations and Outcomes
Certificates will be issued after student demonstrates safe handling of the firearm, Also completes the safe handling and operating of firearm on shooting range.

Please bring a copy of Gov't ID with you on the day of class!
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
If you have a firearm, you may bring it to class. It must be in a case! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Do Not bring any ammunition with the firearm! No ammunition is allowed in classroom.
