Northpointe Training’s New Firearm Owner Academy

Description

As a new firearm owner, it’s essential to seek training to ensure safe, knowledgeable, and effective use, storage, and transport of your gun. It is also important to begin the legal considerations that must accompany the possession and possible use of such a tool, especially in a self-defense situation. This Academy Series will present you with a basic and introductory level of understanding of what is involved in beginning the journey of becoming your family’s first line of defense.

These classes take place over three, 2-hour sessions and the class lengths are intentionally kept short to allow students time to more readily understand, process, and absorb the large amount of information being presented to them as new firearm owners. Our shorter classes also allow our students to focus better, ask questions, and retain what they've learned without feeling overwhelmed. 😊

Topics Covered

The Northpointe Training’s New Firearm Owner Academy consists of three classes:

• Class 1: Understanding how to avoid conflict and how to develop awareness of your surroundings
• Class 2: Firearm FAQs, safe firearm usage, storage, & transport, and legal issues to consider
• Class 3: Handgun basics and shooting fundamentals

Expectations and Outcomes

This Academy Series will present you with a basic and introductory level of understanding of what is involved in beginning the journey of owning a firearm for self-defense and becoming your family’s first line of defense.

Documentation Requirements

Students must present a valid Ohio Driver License or Concealed Handgun License (Concealed Carry Weapons Permit). 

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

As this is a beginner level course series, there are no prerequisites for these classes.
