About Ms. Defense, LLC

Kelly Reeves is the founder of Ms. Defense, LLC, a women’s self-defense company dedicated to helping women prioritize safety and well-being by embodying the principles of awareness, confidence, and resilience in their everyday lives.

She aims to help women protect themselves and their loved ones from violence and attacks, embrace their personal power, and be aware of their surroundings at all times. 

Kelly didn’t start out as a self-defense and firearms instructor, though. She owned a tech PR agency and co-founded an animal rescue. However, in 2020, as the world became more dangerous and uncertain, she decided to take full responsibility for her personal safety, learn about firearms and firearms safety, and get her CCW.

The two things that stood out as she began her firearms and self-defense journey were:

• Most firearms instructors are former military or law enforcement who teach like drill sergeants and make you feel like you need to be like G.I. Jane on the first day of class.
• Most self-defense instructors teach reactive defense - what to do if you are already being attacked.

While it is important to know what to do in the event you find yourself in a threatening situation, Kelly felt there was a better way to go about it, so she created a program around proactive self-defense and how to avoid an attack together.

Self-defense and firearms became a passion, so she turned my passion into a business. Her goal is to help women go from feeling confused and intimidated about self-defense to feeling empowered and confident in their ability to use a firearm and defend themselves.
