Description
Beyond performing CPR and the Heimlich maneuver, would you know how to save a life before the paramedics arrive?
This USCCA Emergency First Aid Fundamentals course is an eight-(8) hour block of instruction, and teaches you how to assess a patient’s condition, to delving into proper treatment of chest and spinal injuries, broken bones, shock, serious bleeding, and more, this program will prepare you to help others when only minutes remain between life and death. Course content includes:
·Patient Assessment: Assessing the Scene, Determine Scene Safety, Emergency Moves and more.
·Traumatic Emergencies: Field treatment for severe bleeding, sucking chest wounds and more.
·Medical Emergencies: Assessing medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and more.
·Build Your Own Kit: Create your own small, medium and large emergency first aid kit.
Students will complete the course with knowledge of how to use these tools and how to safely assess and treat a patient for a wide variety of life-threatening medical and traumatic conditions.
