Description
This course was designed to enhance students' proficiency and confidence in operating the AR platform carbine. While the curriculum is primarily focused on AR/M4 type carbines, the techniques and principles taught are applicable to a broad spectrum of semi-automatic carbines.
We will begin by establishing a solid foundation of fundamental skills that will serve as the cornerstone for all advanced tactics covered throughout the course. This will include verifying or establishing a proper zero, a critical first step in ensuring that your shots consistently hit their intended targets. Following this, we will engage in positional shooting exercises at varying distances: 100, 75, 50, and 25 yards. Participants will learn how to adopt different shooting positions that optimize accuracy and stability.
As we progress, we will shift our focus to techniques specifically designed for engagements at 25 yards and closer. This section will provide a comprehensive review of essential carbine handling skills, including but not limited to efficient magazine reloads, effective malfunction drills to address and rectify common issues, and crucial safety manipulations to ensure a safe shooting environment. We will also place significant emphasis on trigger control, a vital element in ensuring precise shot placement.
To culminate the training, we will explore basic tactical principles, such as the effective use of cover and how to engage targets while on the move. This practical knowledge will equip students with the tools needed to operate effectively in dynamic environments, enhancing both their safety and effectiveness as responsible firearm operators.
