Requirements
We always get questions on firearm selection. Will this or that gun work, etc? A handgun that you can get a full two hand thumbs forward grip on is better to learn shooting skills. You can always transition to a smaller carry gun once you have the skills. We have found that students tend to fight a small gun too much and not grasp the concepts of the exercises.
- Handgun - Full sized semi-auto is recommended. Revolvers and pocket guns will not work.
- Ammunition - 200 rounds (you can shoot more)
- FMJ (no steel core)
- Extra Magazines - 2 to 3 if your magazine holds 10 or more, 3 to 5 if your magazines hold less than 10 rounds.
- Magazine Pouch - 1 to 2
- Eye & Ear Protection
- Holster (OWB)
- Brimmed Hat
- Close-toed Shoes
- Rain Gear
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Thick Belt
