Description
This two day course will equip you with the tools, training, and knowledge you need to teach the CCHD curriculum as a USCCA Instructor. Upon successful completion, you will be uniquely qualified to teach the Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals course.
This is the Gold Standard credential for teaching law-abiding citizens the foundations of the CCHD.
Class fees: The total cost for this course is $597. This fee covers the USCCA e-learning & instructor tool kit ($250) as well as the two-day course fee ($347) that goes to your Training Counselor. This price is set by USCCA.
Instructor candidates must complete the e-learning component prior to attending the in-person class. The e-learning course will be immediately available upon registration. The instructor toolkit (10 CCHDF books, instructor card, instructor polo, and more) will arrive after you’ve completed the course.
The in-person component of the course will review all course modules, teaching aids, back-office resources, and more. You will be intimately familiar with the USCCA training methodology and materials and will become a solid instructor and presenter.
Topics Covered
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.

When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire
