Description
You must be eligible to take this course by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Certification or other certifications. This is an 8-hour course. Students should expect to shoot 200 rounds of their ammunition. This is a great course for those who want to own a firearm and KEEP it in the house for personal protection. We cover Maryland Law extensively in this course. You will be very informed about laws, engagement, and use of a firearm for personal protection inside the home. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in the Home handbook, the NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and the course completion certificate.
