Description
This course is ten hours long and includes both classroom and range time instruction on how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. The NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation. This is an instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Students will learn the NRA rules for safe gun handling, parts of a shotgun, different types of shotguns, operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, and how to clean a shotgun. You will learn about every shotgun action in current use. Pump, Semi-Automatic, Bolt, and Break actions will be readily available for you to use. This class includes a live-fire exercise so bring your shotgun and ammunition.
