Description
A course designed to develop the fundamental principles of utilizing a handgun in real world situations. This class will provide students with a basic understanding of how to safely handle, function and shoot a handgun, with an emphasis placed on gun safety and safe handling techniques. Perfect for new or novice shooters, this is a low-stress course that instills comfort and confidence with a handgun.

Identify nomenclature of ammunition.
Identify the specific operation of handguns and ammunition.
Identify shooter dominate eye.
Demonstrate proper loading and unloading of magazine and firearm
Demonstrate the fundamentals of marksmanship
Identify different types of firearm malfunction(s).
Demonstrate proper clearing of malfunction(s).
Identify different types of ammunition malfunction(s).
Expectations and Outcomes
Students will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely operate their firearm.
