Description
A layered approach to self-defense is a must, even if you are a gun owner. You might be surprised to learn that you are always armed. This class will show you how to use whatever tools are available to you. In addition, you will learn the use of a defensive pen (an easy to carry tactical pen) and understand and correctly deploy pepper spray. This class is appropriate for ages 14+. Components of this class will include hands-on drills, types of impact weapons, which are effective, and the importance of mobility in any attack situation. Emphasis will be placed on avoidance, deterrence, and the need to escape an attack. Legal issues will be discussed as well.
Topics Covered
The non-lethal defense course instructs the student in the effective use of pepper sprays as an option to deadly force. Students learn what Pepper Spray is and the effects of Pepper Spray, Florida Law regarding its use and possession, Pepper Spray Fundamentals including how to choose, how to carry, deployment techniques, discharge techniques and use against multiple assailants.

Everything is provided in this course. Included with course is an inert spray unit provided for training and an active Pepper Spray Unit for immediate protection.
