HOME DEFENSE PISTOL COURSE

Description

This course combines USCCA tools in order to bring the student a timely and informational course on how to use your firearm as a last mean of defense inside your home.  You will also receive information about the legalites of home defense and a checklist to help make sure your home is secure. 

Topics Covered

We will cover range safety rules, firearm mechanics and functions,
why and how to dry fire, stance, grip, how to use your sights, and trigger control.

Expectations and Outcomes

Once this course has been compeleted, you will receive a USCCA certificate stating you have passed the 4 hour basic pistol course.

A valid NYS pistol permit is required for this class.

 The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.

Requirements

Please leave your firearm unloaded, cased, and secured in your vehicle.  Leave all ammunition in your vehicle or in specified areas until instructed otherwise. You will need about 200 rounds of factory target ammunition rated under 1300 fps.  NO RELOADS!

Eye protection and hearing protection are required. Electronic hearing protection is preferred but any protection that provides proper coverage can be used. 

Long pants, closed shoes and properly fitting shirts should be worn. A brimmed hat is preferred if needed but not required. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Please bring your own drinks and snacks for the day.
