Description
The objectives and goals of this two-day specialty advanced course are:
- Become familiar with procedures and tactics involved with clearing buildings.
- Understand legal parameters involved in use of force situations.
- Perform basic rules of room clearing.
- Perform room entry techniques.
- Demonstrate tactics for corner-fed and center fed room entries as an individual and as a team.
- Demonstrate one-man and team room entry techniques.
- Demonstrate clearing of danger areas, room search, and suspect control as part of a team.
- Demonstrate required after actions prior to leaving a room.
- Demonstrate tactical fundamentals during team movement drills.
- Become proficient in the three types of hallway intersections utilizing a rifle and/or pistol.
- Identify procedures to properly clear and negotiate a stairwell (ascending and descending.)
