USCCA Basic Handgun Training -Laser Pistol

Description

Learn firearms safety and handling, along with basics of self defense firearms, fundamentals of defensive shooting, and information to help choose additional gear.

This is a classroom-only course, but includes simulated fire using laser pistol. Students will learn and practice safe handling and firing handguns using safe inert training pistols.
We encourage students to also take our BASIC HANDGUN SKILLS - TRAINING AT THE RANGE course to build skills with live fire of handguns, strengthening their skills leaned in this classroom course.  

If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.

Expectations and Outcomes

This course is part of the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course  Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals program. It is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense, a guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense.

No loaded firearms or any live ammunitionm is allowed in the classroom. All work will be done with inert plastic and.SIRT laser training guns.

Each student wll experience handling a gun to develop proper grip, sight use, and trigger control, using a safe SIRT training pistol laser gun.

Full fee students wll receive a copy of the USCCA book Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, a $35.00 value.

Documentation Requirements

Adult students must bring as ID either driver license, Passport, or Resident Alien Green Card.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

Students must

• be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by an adult parent or legal guardian who is also a student in the class,*
• be a U.S. citizen or Resident Alien (green card holder),**
• not be a prohibited firearm possessor under Federal or state law.**

* A parent or guardian may accompany no more than one minor student under the age of 14, or two minor students between 14 and 18 years of age. There is a discount for parent & minors training together. Register parent first, then register minor using discount code MINOR+PARENT.

** These are legal requirements and not negotiable.

Note: if you currently have a medical marijuana card, or have had an active card within the past 12 months, you are considered a prohibited firearm possesssor under Federal law. This is the same basis under which the Arkansas State Police deny Concealed Hangun Carry Licenses (CHCL) to current and recent medical marijuana card holders.
