Moms For Liberty ONLY - Concealed Carry

Our Basic Pistol class is a prerequisite to this course. This class is a follow up to the requisite Basic Pistol class where students learn if concealed carry is for them. Student must have previously taken our Basic Pistol class to be approved for this class, which can be as simple as providing your name.

Moms For Liberty members, welcome to our comprehensive Pennsylvania Concealed Carry Class, where empowerment meets responsibility. This course is meticulously designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for safe and effective concealed carry. Our seasoned instructors guide you through a well-rounded curriculum covering firearm safety, marksmanship, legal considerations, and situational awareness. With hands-on drawing from your holster / purse, you'll develop the confidence to handle various self-defense situations responsibly. Join us on this journey towards personal protection and responsible gun ownership – because being prepared is not just about carrying, but carrying responsibly. Moms For Liberty Members are NOT required to have their Pennsylvania Concealed Carry Permit, as members will be shown the steps required to obtain it if you do not already possess it. Please read the Requirements section which identifies what students need to bring to class.

At this juncture the location of the class is "TBD". This registration website requires an address, and in order to satisfy that requirement, the instructor's residence address is being used. This address IS NOT the actual class location. Once an actual location is identified, this class will be updated with the class location and address.

• Gun choices of concealed carry
• Pennsylvania laws of concealed carry
• Legal Aftermath, if you need to use your gun in self-defense
• Simulation training with laser training guns - drawing from concealment

Expectations and Outcomes

At the conclusion of the class, Moms For Liberty members who decide they want to conceal carry will have all the necessary information how to go about doing so safely, responsibly AND legally.

Also at the conclusion of the class, if ten (10) or more Moms For Liberty members are registered, a brand new, still-in-the- box handgun, specifically designed for concealed carry, will be given away. The lucky Moms For Liberty winner must: 1) Be a Pennsylvania resident, 2) Be over the age of 21, and 3) Be able to pass a background check. The background check will be conducted immediately at the conclusion of this class. If the lucky Moms For Liberty winner cannot stay for the background check, the winner will be issued a coupon to have the background check conducted on a later day and time, across the kitchen table at the instructor's place of residence. As of this writing, the handgun model to be given away has not yet been determined. Once determined, a photo will be availlable for viewint on this registration.

Pennsylvania does not require completion of a safety class prior to obtaining a concealed carry permit. However, at the conclusion of this class, Moms For Liberty members will receive a "Certificate of Completion". This CoC can be used as proof that students registering for more advanced classes with Dakota Firearms Training Academy have taken this intermediate class. Please double check your registered name, as it will be that name which will be printed on your certificate.

Documentation Requirements

Basic Pistol Certificate of Completion or other such documentation proving student took our Basic Pistol Class.

Requirements

Moms For Liberty members are permitted to bring their own personal firearm, but NO live ammunition in the gun, in the magazine or on their person. However, not to worry if student does not own a firearm. Instructor will provide laser trainers for use in class simulation training, which are 100% safe because they shoot a laser beam.

We will be practicing simulation training of drawing from concealment. If student chooses to bring their own firearm, the following accessories are REQUIRED:

1. Carry Method - either a holster or gun purse
2. Gun Belt, if using holster, not a fashion belt because fashion belts will sag and are not designed to hold the weight of a handgun. A gun belt is thick, sturdy, usually leather, and able to hold the weight of a concealed carry handgun.  Ladies if you decide to use a gun belt, this may require you to wear pants/slacks which can accomodate the gun belt.
3. Gun Purse, if not using a holster. This is a purse with a separate compartment just for the concealed carry hand gun. I the intended purse does not have a separate compartment for the handgun, do not bring it.
