Defensive Shooting

Description

Most concealed carry gun owners do not know how to shoot defensively, and often become a victim because of this lack of training.

This advanced training class is designed to teach concealed carry gun owners how to survive a direct real-life attack. This is a 6 hour hands-on classroom session using instructor-provided laser-fired handguns, holsters and magazine holsters. Students will first be shown a technique, then the students will practice that technique. Students do not need to bring their own handgun.

This classes teaches students how to survive a direct attack coming at you from either in front of you or behind you.

Expectations and Outcomes

At the conclusion of the class, students will be able to handle direct lethal attacks. Students will be presented with a Certificate of Completion attesting to that fact.

The laser training gun, holster and magazine holster issued to the student for use in the class will be made available for purchase to the student, so the student can practice in their own home.

Documentation Requirements

A driver's license or other form of ID will be required at checkin for anyone over 18,

The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.

Requirements

Prerequisites:

1. Have your concealed carry permit
2. Have previously taken both a basic pistol and a concealed carry class, either with Dakota Firearms or with another instructor.
