Description
This class is designed for women gun owners, either those who recently bought their first gun or those who are thinking about owning their first gun. In a classroom setting, we use "immersion training" cover all the topics for safe and responsible gun ownership while removing the fears and misconceptions of owning a handgun. Students "learn by doing".
This class is an introductory class and is a prerequisite for any student desiring to take more advanced classes with Dakota Firearms, such as Live Fire training at a range.

- Ammo types
- Handling handguns
- Loading/unloading
- Shooting fundamentals
- Shooting stance
- Handling misfires and malfunctions
- First gun considerations
Expectations and Outcomes
At the conclusion of the class, first time women gun owners will have the skills to safely and responsibly handle firearms. And those women who are not yet gun owners but are thinking about it, will have the knowledge and information to determine if gun ownership is for them.
Pennsylvania does not require completion of a safety class prior to obtaining a concealed carry permit. However, at the conclusion of this class, students will receive a "Certificate of Completion". This CoC can be used as proof that students registering for more advanced classes with Dakota Firearms have taken this introductory class.

Documentation Requirements
A driver's license or other form of ID will be required at checkin for anyone over 18,
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Students are permitted to bring their own personal firearm, but NO live ammunition in the gun, in the magazine or on their person.
