Description

Our primary purpose is training responsible gun owners the proper techniques for carrying concealed or open carry per State Law.  Taking our SLED certified course is the first step in receiving your SC CWP.  Upon completion, you'll be guided through the SLED application. 

This course eaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe  and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to  provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to  self-defense.

Expectations and Outcomes

The classroom portion covers topics such as, basic firearms safety, proper shooting and carry techniques, in addition to SC CWP laws and the use of force. Completing a written test is required. Students break for lunch and meet at our local outdoor range for hands on shooting and qualification.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Requirements

  • A Firearm Suitable for Conceal/Open Carry with a Fitted Holster. (Rentals Available)
  • "Open-Carry" Holsters MUST BE at Least a Level 2 Retention. 
  • Single Action Revolvers are NOT Allowed. 
  • Cross-draw and Shoulder Holsters are NOT Allowed. 
  • Students MUST have Ear/Hearing Protection and Eye Protection.  
  • Attendees MUST Practice Loading and Unloading Their Magazines Prior to Class.
  • NO Low-Cut Shirts, Tank Tops, V-Necks, Etc.
  • NO Short-Shorts, Sagging Pants or Y O G A  P A N T S
  • Pants With Pockets and Belt Loops are a MUST
  • Closed Toe Shoes Required
  • Check the Weather and Dress Appropriately
