Description
This course is instructor led designed for the beginning pistol shooter. Students will learn safe gun handling, handgun parts and operation, loading and unloading, methods of safe storage of firearms and ammunition and proper maintenance. Live fire training is at an indoor range, please bring at least 100 rounds. Bring snacks and drinks, options for lunch are nearby. Complies with Washington State I-1639 training requirements. If you would like to keep the course materials the cost is $25, which makes the cost of the course $150.
Topics Covered
Differences between semiautomatic, single and double action pistols.
Safe handling and storage.
Handgun parts and their functions.
Proper cleaning procedures.
Expectations and Outcomes
Students will be able to identify parts of a pistol and their functions, 5 firearm safety rules, how to use each type of pistol and how to properly maintain. Student will be able to shoot 15 out of 16 rounds into a designated target from a designated distance. Student will recieve certificate of completion and the chance to shoot for higher qualification.

Documentation Requirements
Bring state issued drivers license or US Passport.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Students are expected to bring their own firearms, the smaller the caliber the better for beginners. Bring at least 100 rounds, pen/pencil and notepad, ear and eye protection and an open mind.
