Description
This course focuses on teaching the optic for reactive and proactive use, instead of being another shooting class.
We will address human and legal factors while covering what does and doesn't change with switching to a PMO. Students will develop a knowledge-based foundation for addressing equipment, training, program, and policy development concerns.

Students will develop a knowledge-based foundation for addressing equipment, training, program, and policy development concerns. They will be able to implement an agency's pistol mounted optics transition program.

Documentation Requirements
Completion of:
Rangemaster's Advanced Instructor;
Forty hours of documented firearms instructor development course;
or a state (POST, TCOLE, etc) or nationally recognized (NRA-LEAD, FBI) L/E firearms instructor course (You will be asked for a copy of that cert).
And a copy of one of your lesson plans.
Requirements
Note-taking materials. 650 rounds of reliable pistol ammunition, mid to full-size handgun w/optic, proper holster, three magazines with pouches, a suitable belt, and a handheld light. Eye & ear protection, appropriate range attire for the weather conditions. Fluids, and snacks.
