Defensive Pistol Shooting

Description

This course will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. As a result of participating in this course, the student will be able to explain and demonstrate the following: How to apply the Rules for Safe Gun Handling when carrying a concealed firearm, basic principles of concealment, the difference between cover and concealment, drawing from the holster, levels of mental awareness, developing the proper mindset when using a pistol for personal protection, clearing common stoppages, use of pocket pistols, and more.

By enrolling in the Defensive Pistol Shooting Techniques Course, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate in this course.
2. You must have a valid government-issued ID and be legally allowed to possess a firearm.
3. Particpants are required to bring either your Firearm Satey Card or CCW Permit.
4. All participants must follow the instructions and guidance provided by the course instructors at all times.

1. Participants must adhere to all safety rules and regulations set forth by the course instructors and facility staff.
2. No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom. All firearms must be unloaded and cleared before entering the classroom.
3. Participants are responsible for their own actions and safety during the course. Any reckless or unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal from the course without a refund. YOU MUST FOLLOW ALL THE COMMANDS OF THE RANGE SAFETY OFFICER AND INSTRUCTOR.
4. The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the course schedule or content at any time without prior notice.
5. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, seek clarification, and actively participate in all course activities to maximize their learning experience.

Documentation Requirements

All particpants are required to show their valid government-issued ID and either a CA Firearm Satey Card or CCW Permit.

Requirements

Participants are required to bring their own

• Pistol with two spare mag or speedloader
• minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition
• Holster with retention
• Protective gear (including ear and eye protection)
