Description
Our flagship course - students will develop a solid foundation of handgun safety and knowledge, as well as an understanding of concealed carry. Topics covered include handgun terminology, safe operation, fundamentals of shooting, ammunition considerations, storage, and selection. This course also covers concealed carry and reviews Colorado law, use of force, reciprocity, and law enforcement interaction.
This course meets the requirements to obtain a Colorado resident concealed handgun permit. This course is not sponsored or officially endorsed by the NRA.

Expectations and Outcomes
Upon completion of the course and passing a written test, students will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate is valid for applying for a Colorado concealed carry permit.

Requirements
This is a basic introductory course - as such, you don't have to bring anything at all except a willingness to learn. If you already own a handgun, you may bring that, but please keep it locked and secured in the car first. You will be able to retrieve it when it comes time to learn how to handle it.
