Description
This is a non-shooting course that covers the informatin necessary to apply for the Arizona Concealed Carry Firearm Permit through DPS. Topics covered include where you can and cannot carry regardless of your permit status, self-defense law, situational awareness and decision making, and the benefits of a CCW even though Arizona is a Constitutional Carry state. Course fee includes fingerprinting. Students will receive their fingerprint card and fill out the application in class. Students will then be responsible for turning in their application and the DPS Application fee.

Arizona firearms law, Arizona self-defense law, methods of carrying a firearm, Permit carry vs. Constitutional Carry.
Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will have the necessary information to apply for an Arizona CCW permit. Students will have an understanding on basic carry techniques, pros and cons of carrying a firearm in different manners, concealed vs. open carry, and Arizona law regarding the carrying and use of firearms in self-defense.
