Tara Dixon Engel is the author of "The Handgun Guide for Women" (Zenith Press, 2015). She is a civilian instructor for the National Association of Chiefs of Police and is also Director of Strategic Development. She has been an NRA-certified instructor in pistol, rifle and shotgun since 2006. Tara is a certified Range Safety Officer and a trainer for Refuse to be a Victim, Home Firearms Safety and Personal Defense Outside the Home. She spent five years working behind a gun counter and is a Glock Armorer.
