Description

This will be a 4 hour class on the range.  We will cover more advanced concepts relating to your pistol mounted optic (red dot). Student will need kydex holster for firearm. Will cover some troubleshooting,acquiring and transitioning to multiple targets. Shooting and moving. Different positions. And from cover & concealment. Student is required to have some drawing from holster experience.

Topics Covered

Advanced concepts related to Pisot Mounted Opics (PMO/ Red Dot) to include:

  • Will cover alternative sighting techniques for red dot failures and obstructions (such as dead battery, rain).
  • Transitions between multiple targets,
  • Shooting with movement / moving between shots.
  • Shooting from alternate positions and
  • Be introduced to shooting from a position of cover or concealment

Expectations and Outcomes

  • By the end of the day the student will have an understanding of of more advanced concepts related to Pisot Mounted Opics (PMO)

  • The student will practice alternative sighting techniques for red dot failures and obstructions

  • The student will practice target transitions between multiple targets

  • The student will practice shooting with movement / moving between shots

  • The student will practice shooting from alternate positions

  • The student will be introduced to shooting from a position of cover or concealment

  • Will email student certificate of completion of 4 hours or training.

Requirements

  • Firearm with pistol mounted optic 

  • Kydex holster for firearm that fits the optic & experience using (PMO 2)

  • Basic safe gun handling skills.

  • Know the 4 rules of Safe Gun handling

    • All guns are always loaded

    • Never let your muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy

    • Keep your finger off the trigger until on target and ready to shoot

    • Know your target and what is beyond it, around it.

  • 200 rds of factory ammunition
