Description
This Beginning Drawing from a Holster Class introduces students to the foundational skills needed for safe and efficient firearm handling from a holster. Through guided instruction, students will learn the mechanics of the draw stroke, proper reholstering techniques, and target engagement while maintaining a strong focus on firearm safety. This class is ideal for beginners or those looking to refine their holster skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.
This is a private event being instructed by Erica for the Broward County Chapter of A Girl & A Gun members only; your membership with A Girl & A Gun must be current at the time of this class in order to participate.
- EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Experienced shooters who are new to drawing from a holster.
- Shooters should have a basic knowledge of how their gun works and know and be able to follow all of the safety rules. If you have never shot a gun before, please contact Erica to schedule a beginners private lesson at Gun World before this date.

Topics Covered
- 9:00am: Arrive and Check In at the Range Office
- 9:30am: Range Safety Brief and Gear Set-Up
- 10:00am - 1:00pm: Dry Fire and Live Fire
Expectations and Outcomes
Students can expect to leave this class with a stronger understanding of the mechanics and safety of holster work and the confidence to incorporate these skills into their regular training routine.

Required Equipment:
- Eye & ear protection
- Reliable Semi-Automatic Pistol
- At least 2 pistol magazines
- Sturdy Gun belt
- Outside the Waistband Holster (Kydex or Sturdy Leather)
- For safety reasons bra holsters, bag holsters (Ukoala Bag and like systems), soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed.
- 150 Rounds of factory new ammunition
- Dummy Ammunition
- Snap Caps or Tap Rack Training Aids (TRT)
- Med Kit (If you do not have one, please consider getting one)
- Lunch, adequate snacks and hydration (both water AND electrolytes)
- Please wear outdoor range appropriate attire: closed-toe shoes, collared shirt.
- Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required.
- Any other personal comfort items
- Sunblock
- Bug Spray
