Maliq Hicks owner and founder of AZone Hits.

Maliq Hicks a husband, Father, son, brother and USCCA certified Firearms Instructor and Training Counselor. Maliq had to learn the hard way that he is his only first responder. One day he found himself staring down the barrel of a pistol. Maliq doesn’t believe in luck but damn was he lucky that his assailant ran off at the sight of people coming. Although no one was hurt on this occasion, he then understood that he wasn’t prepared for such a situation. Especially if it had gone south!

Maliq Hicks is what the USCCA would say is “Born to protect”. However, he did not own the necessary tools to match this day and time.

Soon as Maliq turned 21 he bought his first pistol (Smith & Wesson SD9VE 9mm) and began training.

Law enforcement doesn’t make you a good instructor neither does being in the military (Extremely respected). Hard work and dedication does! Maliq Hicks although an instructor understands that he is (forever) a student! It takes appreciating the 4 universal gun safety rules and mastering the fundamentals! No matter what age, gender or sexuality Maliq can train you to be your own first responder, because the responsibility for the safety of our family and ourselves lies upon us.
