Description
This class is for those who are concerned with keeping thier home (and loved ones) more safe and secure, and have chosen to add a handgun to their home defense plan.
Includes lecture about hardening your home against home invasion, setting up home field advantage, and learning about some true home invastion scenarios.
Skills will include honing protection marksmanship, use of the low-ready position, verbal challenges, gun retrieval, and shooting from vertical and horizontal cover.
Fast paced 4 hours.
Novice students to more experienced students are welcome. No holster work in class. No holster or prior training in pistol presentation is needed for this class
Students should come to class ready to learn, work, and have fun, while strictly adhering to the 4 primary gun safety rules.
Rental Gun and Ammo package is available for $40 for use in class only

Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of the workshop students should expect to have exposure to ideas to improve the security of their home, and how to set up thier home environment to maximize their advantage in the event of a home invasion.
Additionally, become more comfortable and competent with the use of a handgun if ever needed to repel a home invader. This includes not just marksmanship skills, but rapid fire, low-ready position, verbal challenges, and shooting from behind concealement such as wall corners or furniture.

Goverment issued ID or drivers license (American citizens)
Requirements
Quality semiautomatic handgun or Revolver.
More than one magazine or speedloader/speed strip recommended if possible.
50 rounds of ammunition minumum (target ammunition recommended - lead, FMJ, TMJ, etc. Please no hollowpoints or steelcore)
Eye protection and hearing protection (let us know if you need some, we can help, quantities limited)
Billed cap (required)
Note taking materials.
No low-cut shirts or open toe shoes please.
