My name is Christian Sundberg and I am the Managing Member of Asguardian Defense, LLC, a home-based company mainly serving Erie County, NY dealing in firearms training and sales.   

I have spent the better part of my life in public service.  I was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years where I served in multiple roles including President, Lieutenant, and Captain.  I was also an EMT and worked both in a volunteer and professional status for about 3 years.  Currently, I work full time in corrections (20+ years) where I have made the rank of Lieutenant.

It is in my corrections role where I discovered handguns.  After completing the Use of Force and Firearms Training, I realized I wanted to pursue both professional and recreational shooting options.  That lead to me getting my NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and recently my NRA CCW Instructor Qualification. 

COURSES OFFERED:

New York State Handgun Safety Class - (AKA Permit Class) This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught the rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearm accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms.  This is the class you need to get your Pistol Permit in New York and will include a brief discussion of the Erie County Pistol Permit Application and application process.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.  This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction.

NRA CCW - The NRA CCW course is specifically designed to meet the minimum requirements of all the different states, which issue Concealed Carry permits. In it, the course covers 10 different classroom lessons and can range from 8 to 16 hours (depending on students' proficiency and training). This is a live-fire course and a qualification course of fire will also be administered. In the NRA CCW course, instructors will teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense.

Cancellation Policy

If Asguardian Defense, LLC cancels your course, you may receive a full refund or full credit towards the rescheduled date or apply that credit towards another course of your choosing. Unless otherwise specified in writing, this credit must be used within one calendar year. If you accept a tuition credit towards a future course and later change your mind, a refund will not be possible.

 

If you cancel or choose not to attend 30 days or more before your scheduled course, you may receive a full refund or full credit towards a future course.

If you cancel or choose not to attend less than 30 and more than 7 days before your scheduled course, you may receive a 50% credit towards a future course. No cash refund.

There are no refunds within 7 days of a scheduled course.

If you accept a tuition credit towards a future course and later change your mind, a refund will not be possible.

This policy applies regardless of when you register. There are no exceptions.

Reschedule Policy

If Asguardian Defense, LLC reschedules your course, you may receive a full refund or full credit towards the rescheduled date or apply that credit towards another course of your choosing. Unless otherwise specified in writing, this credit must be used within one calendar year. If you accept a tuition credit towards a future course and later change your mind, a refund will not be possible.

If you wish to reschedule less than 30 and more than 7 days before your scheduled course, you may receive a 50% credit towards a future course. No cash refund.

There is no rescheduling within 7 days of a scheduled course.

This policy applies regardless of when you register. There are no exceptions.

 

Refund Policy

There are no refunds within 7 days of a scheduled course.

After the course date, there are no refunds possible for any reason.

If you fail to attend a scheduled course, without prior notification, there is no refund or credit.

If you accept a tuition credit towards a future course and later change your mind, a refund will not be possible.

This policy applies regardless of when you register. There are no exceptions.
